All about the world

Can you make a change in the world?

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are doing good!

I have been wondering if we could make a change in the world. Well, I would like to share my opinion on this.

Just simple things could bring a change in the world.

I, personally, had been questioning myself, “Is world a better place? Is it possible to bring a change?” and is that even possible? Well, Yes it is! The answer is that I should be the change that I want to see in the world. Okay, now, how did I get this answer?

I got it from one of the Greatest leaders in the world, Mahatma Gandhi. One of my favorites, from his quotes is,

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Firstly, I would start with a short story, that inspired me.

I had always been complaining about deforestation, and these questions had been running in my mind, “Why are people cutting trees, and what to they get from it? Why don’t they think about the consequences?”. I think, almost every common man and woman have these questions.

When we have been questioning, here comes the man with the solution. Jadav ‘Molai’ Payeng, popularly known as the Forest Man of India, is the one, who has given us the best solution. He planted a tree, everyday, for 35 years, since he was 16 years old, and that resulted in the formation of the ‘Molai’ Forest, which was named after him by the Indian Government. This forest spreads over 1,360 acres, and is now the house of numerous wild animals, including, Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, rhinos, wild boars, deer’s and, many reptiles and birds too.

When we were just complaining, he decided to find a solution, and has become the change that he wished to see. All of us cannot be Payeng, but we can give a small start. Plant at least one tree in your life, and tell your children to follow that forever. In that way, our future generation would witness the impact, and they would take it a long way.

Now, I have decided to plant a sapling every year, for the rest of my life, and would make sure that my generation continues my vision. Also, I would start to share the pictures of the saplings shortly, to make sure that I just don’t tell by words, instead I WOULD BE THE CHANGE MYSELF.

I would continue to share about the people, who inspired me, in my upcoming posts. I would also share a post about Payeng’s life shortly.

Thanks to all my lovely readers. Be the change, that you wish to see in the world!
